SENZA: The Musical Nail

Music does not ask for permission. It does not merely brush against us, nor does it fade away; it imposes itself. It is like a steel nail driven into the very heart of our being. At first, there is the first blow of the hammer: a single note, a distant rhythm, a vibration that strikes the surface of our attention. It is the first contact, sharp and precise. Then, the melody persists. Blow after blow, bar after bar, it sinks deeper into the raw wood of our soul. We cannot pretend not to hear it. Every note, every inflection in Senza’s voice is an invisible force that drives the tip of the nail a little further in.
